Since 2015 the Plymouth Manufacturers Group (the ‘PMG’) has held annual early careers jobs fairs in Plymouth.
From 2018, Building Plymouth joined to co-host the event and together the two organisations have enabled hundreds of young people to meet top employers offering local apprenticeships, graduate roles and industry placements in Manufacturing & Engineering, Construction & the Built Environment. Of course family, guardians and friends are all welcome to attend too to help discover the next steps and opportunities available to you.
Our next Early Careers Fair will take place on a Saturday 15th February 2025.

Past exhibiting Employers include Princess Yachts, Kawasaki PM, Plessey, Schneider Electric, Babcock, BD, Collins Aerospace, Rittal CSM, The Cornwall Bakery, Secure Innovation, Lang & Potter, Aldermans, who attend the fair to promote their job opportunities across a variety of career pathways, looking for for talent like you!
Local training providers also attend to answer all your training and education questions – exhibitors often include; City College Plymouth, The Plymouth Engineering Skills Centre, University of Plymouth, University of Exeter, Greenlight Safety and Training, and The Focus Training Group amongst others.
Each year you can visit the Careers Café where visitors will be able to talk with Skills Launchpad Plymouth’s Youth Hub team and Careers Advisors to consider their next steps.
Some of the stands are managed by people who started their career by coming to our Careers Fair as a visitor – maybe you could be supporting an employer at the fair in the future too!
