Mini Makes Terms & Conditions

1. Promoter
   This competition is organised by Plymouth Manufacturers’ Group (PMG)

 

1. Eligibility

1. 1. The competition is open to children aged 0–18 years living within the UK. 
   2. Entries must be submitted by a parent, guardian or responsible adult if the entrant is under 18 years of age.
   3. PMG Member business employees and their immediate families may enter but any judges must declare any conflicts of interest and judging processes will be altered to ensure fairness.

1. How to Enter
   1. Create your competition entry for Plymouth Mini-Makes and celebrate the products we manufacture in and around the Plymouth area by using recyclable or craft materials from around the home or office, or items such as toy building bricks or what you may find at scrap stores as an example.
   2. Submit a clear photograph of the completed creation via email at [email protected] by 5pm on 14^th September 2026.
   3. Please include in your email:
      1. First name and age of the child who is entering the competition, 
      2. The Full Name of the Guardian  / Parent of the child who is entering the competition. 
   4. After emailing the photo of your entry, please look out for an email from the PMG acknowledging your entry. Please save our email to your favourites  –  [email protected] so that our reply does not go to junk email.

2. Age Categories
   Entries will be judged within the following age groups:

1. 1. 0–4 years
   2. 5–8 years
   3. 9–12 years
   4. 13–18 years

 

1. Judging

1. 1. Entries will be judged by a panel appointed by Plymouth Manufacturers’ Group
   2. Judging will be based on creativity, originality, effort and interpretation of the theme.
   3. The judges’ decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

 

1. Prize

1. 1. One winner per age category, will receive a hamper of “local goodies and gifts”.
   2. The prize is non-transferable, non-refundable and no cash alternative will be offered.
   3. If any item within the hamper becomes unavailable, Plymouth Manufacturers’ Group reserves the right to substitute it with an item of equal value.

1. Winner Notification

1. 1. Winners will be contacted using their email provided and announced by 21st September 2026. 
   2. If a winner cannot be contacted within 5 days, another winner may be selected.
   3. Presentation of prizes is proposed to take place at the 1^st October 2026 Guiding Lights event.

 

1. Use of Photographs

1. 1. By entering, you confirm that you have permission to submit the photograph.
   2. You grant Plymouth Manufacturers’ Group (PMG) permission to use submitted photographs for promotional purposes, including on social media, websites and printed materials, unless you request otherwise when entering.
   3. Children’s full names will not be published without the permission of a parent or guardian.

1. Data Protection

1. 1. Personal information will only be used for administering the competition and contacting winners.
   2. Information will be handled in accordance with applicable data protection legislation and will not be shared with third parties without consent, unless required by law.

1. General

1. Entries containing inappropriate or offensive content will not be accepted.
2. Plymouth Manufacturers’ Group (PMG) reserves the right to amend or cancel the competition where necessary due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
3. Entry into the competition constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
