Alderman Tooling is a metal fabrication company and has been in business for over 50 years. The metal parts that Aldermans produces help to make some very interesting and useful products such as metal bed feet, bus handrails, and displays for museums and fashion retailers. Most of the company’s clients are other manufacturing businesses, including some well-known Plymouth manufacturers such as Rittal, Plessey, Vispring, and Vortok.
Aldermans has won awards for being a great place to work. The business takes on apprentices most years and everyone is expected to take part in training, to keep their skills fresh, whether they’ve been at Aldermans for one year or 40 years. Their longest serving employee has completed 42 years!
