Did you know?
Soft Starters are like small controllers - there is a plastic casing with a touch screen on the front and a small computer inside.
The motors that the soft starters control can be fitted into machines like large fans which help circulate air in multi-storey car parks or tunnels (such as the Saltash tunnel).
They can also be fitted to very large pumps which can be seen at places like Water Treatment sites for South West Water (see images above) or at swimming pools or used on Oil Rigs.
Motortronics was born out of innovation - in 1982 they were the first company in the world to produce a digital 3 phase energy saving soft starter, and have never stopped innovating.
